Wow… I have really dropped the ball on posting daily. I guess that is what you get when you are inundated with many things to accomplish! With that in mind, I am hoping that I can keep doing what I am doing, workout wise, for the foreseeable future.
Let’s see… My last post was of Day #3… So, Day #5, #6, #7, and, of course, #8 (Today). I skipped #4 on here, because I had that day off. But, I did add in an extra workout on #7, because I am cool like that ^,^
How about this, I am going to simply label what I did each day!
Day #5 – Hit the gym and killed some serious steel! I upped the ante by giving myself only 90 seconds to recover. This made things more challenging and I could feel it working my body even more!
Day #6 – What was supposed to be a two-a-day on #5 became the day’s workout for #6. Les Mills Combat Shock Plyo was a Burpee-fest! I can see now how out of condition I am after that brutal routine…
Day #7 – It was a day of reckoning. I was motivated by some pictures and stories I had read about on the Beachbody website. These people and their transformations were UNREAL! It made me want this even more! Especially since one of the guys had a similar build as I do now (shorter, though). He is RIPPED! I need to do the same! After my workout at home, I hit the gym for some extra cardio. I want to get back to the condition I was when I was a fighter!
Day #8 – Today was just plain and simple, AWESOME! I woke up early in order to get in a morning workout. I will try to make this routine, now. I started my day with Les Mills Combat 30 and a healthy meal, to follow (eggs and veggies). Later in the evening, it was time for some Steel Therapy. Back at the 5×5 Stronglift routine, only 90 second breaks. Today was the first time since my injury in December 2005 that I did Deadlifts. What a wonderful feeling it was to do that once again. It was only 225, but I will take it! I will not, however, push beyond that for the sake of my lower back. Anyways, I hit 24 minutes of post-weightlifting cardio on the elliptical and headed home for a huge piece of salmon! Awesome!
Now, I am resting and am preparing for sleep, shortly. Tomorrow will bring back the Shock Plyo… But this time, I will be more prepared… I hope ^,^
Please feel free to nag me when I don’t post. Odds are, I am not skipping my workout, I am just distracted. I can find a moment to type, but it has been easy to forget. Let’s Do This!
